Its a great set my       wife gave me for Christmas several years ago. Really a decent mechanics       starter tool set, but I've left it out of the truck the last year       because the plastic is literally just falling apart. I'm looking for       something I can transfer it into that will still just fit in the cross       bed box.       Bob La Londe              ------------------------------              I gave up on finding decent new stuff made of sheet metal and bought a 30"       shear/brake/roll and a spotwelder. Now everything I make is what I wanted       and just the right size. 22 or 24 galvy are plenty strong. I have quite a       bit of 22 as trim parts of an above ground pool I disassembled.              The CM shear struggles with 0.063" 6061 but is happy with 0.050" 5052. The       36 Lb anvil that blacksmiths scorn for hot forging is fine for flattening       and forming sheet metal.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
