The smaller ones move faster. I only proofed       the home made tripods, not the commercial hoists. When a hoist seemed near       its capacity I changed to a bigger one, I have 2000, 3000 and 4000# and at       times all were in use.              Four times the rating is the design breaking strength for chain except Grade       43 which is three times. The proof load is two times the rating. Hoists may       be different.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
