Up here between the lakes in south central Ontario Canada we've had
several weeks in the high 30s Celcius (low to mid 90sF) with humidity
in the 60s to 90s. Doing ANYTHING outside makes one sweat like a pig.
Overnights have been in the mid to high 20sC, so air conditioning has
been a godsend!!! Normal years we get 3 or 4 days at a time a couple
   times each summer -
We HAVE gotten some rain - but all it does is settle the dust a bit
   and raise the humidity

We appreciate your second-hand Hudson's Bay weather when you pass it on to
us in summer, not so much when it brings -20C in winter.

US science is taught in metric so I'm familiar with it. The TV weather has
stopped giving Celsius equivalents, I suspect because the nanny-staters who
pushed it couldn't do math in either system. Temperature differences were
being blindly looked up as temperatures which were wildly wrong, such as
converting 4 degrees F cooler tomorrow to -20C.
