      From: null@void.com              You make a good point - you could also inject water to get hydrogen too.       As this is to be used at the power-station, if the gas is 100%       carbon-monoxide that isn't an issue.              There is in-situ coal gasification in the geological strata - which is       done, fuelling power-plants - with mix of CO and H2.              A lot of the point here is to take open-cast pit quarried coal and have       a heaps of it - millions of tonnes per. Even if you have no coal       yourself - import it in bulkers across the sea.
