|    Curved Monitors    |

From: none@none.com99              I've grown attached to my 32 inch flat screens on the CAD CAM machine,       but I no longer have an account with the only distributor for that brand.              I am in the process of setting up a newer, faster, meaner CAD CAM       computer. Mostly to edit 8K 360 video, and run my 3D optical scanner,       but faster and more cores (i9 - 16 cores and 24 threads) will also help       with code generation and cut simulations.              I plan to keep this older early i7 (4 core 8 thread) up and running so I       can play online, mess with old files, and stream will code is generating       and simulations are rendering.              I've gotten spoiled with multi monitors of course, and I don't want have       less than 2 on either machine. I've found a decent deal on a couple new       32 inch, but they are curved. I don't know if I'll like doing CAD on a       curved monitor. I think they are more intended for wide screen video,       and gaming, but the price is tempting.              Are any of you guys using curved monitors? Do you do CAD on them? Do       you like them for it?              Of course I could throw these flat screens on the new computer, and get       the curved monitors for this one, but I can see having old CAD models up       on this old machine at the same time. Or I could just pay a few extra       bucks and get a couple more 32 inch flat screens.                     --       Bob La Londe       CNC Molds N Stuff              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
