   How would one go about observing an equinox?   
      
   The sun would be directly over the equator.  If you went to the spot on the   
   equator where the it was high noon at the moment of equinox, you could hang   
   a weight on a string from your hand and the weight would be in the shadow of   
   your hand, like an eclipse.   
      
   I guess the Equinox party is at a different spot on the equator every 6   
   months.  Rolling party!
