Section 6.2.1 of the DXM FAQ: "Benzodiazepines ... will usually stop the DXM
experience very suddenly." This states that the trip ends quickly, but I
don't know if the whole effect wears off as quickly. My imagination of DXM
is that the same mechanisms that cause the trip cause the CNS depression,
thus they ought to wear off about as quickly.

Regardless, this information really should be widely available knowledge to
all ER doctors, and should be clearly indicated for DXM "overdose" (i.e.
recreational dose). As far as I've been able to tell from the PDR, there's
no clear guidance given for an MD faced with a patient on a recreational
dose of DXM. Oughtn't that kind of information be given in the "Warnings"
section? e.g. "Warning: Causes robotripping in overdose. To stop this, use
   Valium".
