      They may use the terms with different nuances of meaning. As for the   
   terms being generally used interchangeably, this goes all the way back   
   to when the word "psychedelic" was coined. That was done by Osmond in a   
   paper titled "Review of Clinical Effects of Psychotomimetic Agents".
