|    FINALLY! An e-mail from an angry parent     |

XPost: alt.drugs.psychedelics, alt.drugs, alt.drugs.rfg       XPost: rec.drugs.psychedelic       From: rfgdxm@SPAMSUCKSmochamail.com               I guess it had to happen eventually. I got an e-mail from a parent of a       middle school student who found my sites, and apparently her son ignored the       advice there and started out with a DXM dose just shy of third plateau. I       can't ethically directly quote private e-mails, but apparently this poor lad       experienced ocular oscillations, sweats, headaches, and interrupted sleep,       which resulted in missed days of school. After which I presume he recovered       to his normal state of health. The e-mail closed with a warning that       hopefully I can afford a good attorney.               When I get around to responding, I'll point out that she had better have       a good attorney, and lots of money. She'd need to file suit in federal       district court in Lansing, MI. I would of course challenge such immediately,       and demand a jury trial. This would mean unless she and her son live       locally, traveling to MI to testify. I'd figure total costs here in excess       of $10,000 with attorney fees. As for me, I wouldn't have to pay for       attorneys. Given the First Amendment implications of such a lawsuit (a       website is a publication), with a few phone calls I should easily be able to       convince multi-billion dollar US media concerns to provide me with legal       counsel. Cheaper for them to squish such in a federal district court than       have to fight it all the way to the US Supreme Court because if I lost this       would be a devasting precedent. US national TV networks have covered DXM.       They have deep pockets, and when it comes to First Amendment cases have to       fight.               This would be an interesting trial if it ever happened. This kid came to       no real harm. A good bottle of booze can make someone sick for a few days. I       once got an e-mail from a parent whose child *died* thanking me for my       websites. This mother found them after her kid died, and searched the       Internet about Coricidin. She didn't know the dangers until she found my       sites. If needed, I'll fight this as far as I can.       --       http://www.dextromethorphan.ws/       For information about the psychedelic drug DXM, including dangers.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
