Did you find DXM to be like codeine? I agree DXM isn't "*very* much like
LSD". However, it does cause hallucinations and bizarre mental states. I
include here my own personal experience. And, I have had *lots* of
experience with codeine dating to a couple decades ago. I in fact first
tried DXM looking for a codeine substitute. I was dissapointed to find that
DXM was a psychedelic, and not a narcotic. I confess to have been very
sloppy in my initial research at the local med school library. After
discovering that DXM for me was obviously a psychedelic, I went back to the
med school library and asked to speak with the head librarian about this.
After politely asking the librarian about this (I before this had learned
how valuable the assistance of a good librarian is), the librarian realized
my error. And, provided me with the appropriate peer reviewed article
citations about the psychedelic properties of DXM. As this college has 2 of
the most notable med schools in the state (both MD and DO colleges), all
these peer reviewed journals were available. These clearly indicated the
psychedelic properties of DXM were well known in the medical community.
