I have been following this case early on since the beginning, and       even talked to news reporters about it. Acetaminophen wasn't an issue. APAP,       if it did kill, would do so by liver failure after a slow, painful death.       Whatever killed these kids, killed them quick. The prosector was       specifically focusing on DXM. I even have the autopsy results of the amount       of DXM found post-mortem. Basically, nothing particularly outrageous. Even       Richard Dart of the Rocky Mountain Poison Center was quoted in a newspaper       report stating that he had serious doubts this was a DXM death, pointing out       that DXM just doesn't kill at anything resembling a normal dose. I'd be       shocked if any parent tried to kill 2 small kids with an OTC cough syrup       like this could a) get them to take that much, or b) if so, the kids       wouldn't barf it up.               Basically, I say this case is bogus. This news report just makes it seem       even more so. Something is seriously askew here.       --       http://www.dextromethorphan.ws/       For information about the psychedelic drug DXM, including dangers.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
