   your arguement is akin to the chicken and the egg. you can't have one   
   without the other, it matters not which comes first, both are needed   
   for new forms of gameplay.   
      
   you seem a bit confused about what gameplay actually is. Sonic   
   Spinball is a sonic game, but it has completely different gameplay to,   
   say, Sonic Drift, or Sonic R, if you are using a different control   
   method, by common sense, you are experiencing different gameplay.

   if a game is released on PS3 and 360, chances are the gameplay will be   
   exactly the same as they both use traditional control inputs. however   
   the Wii offers up new gameplay possibilities which won't be possible
