   And the Naomi arcade game Spikeout that preceded it. The combat engine   
   used in Yakuza is very much lifted from the Spikeout system. This is   
   actually acknowledged implicitly in the game, as one of the interior   
   environments is an arcade, with vending machines and a batting cage and   
   several Spikeout arcade consoles lined up in a row. Unfortunately, the   
   games are decorative only, and don't function as an interface to any   
   hidden, easter-egg mini game as far as I know.
