|    Re: Sonic demo on 360...    |

From: belpowerslave@ev1.net              Well, that buddy of mine finally brought over his 360 the other night, so I       was able       to download and try out the Sonic demo. I wasn't real thrilled with it...              At first I was doing really well, I thought "Man, maybe all that talk of       constantly       falling down and killing yourself really was because people just didn't know       how to       play", then I got to the bridge part and it all just sort of fell apart from       there.       Like everyone else, I kept falling off because the bridge either didn't drop       fast       enough, or it did drop but Sonic just magically fell through it. Ugh. Played a       bit       more and fell off a few more times. Double ugh.              The graphics, imo(and like I said before, at some point) just don't seem "next       gen"       to me. I mean, like Scott said, they it does look like the cut scenes from the       SA       games, but to me that's just not enough of an improvement. The textures and       stuff       seemed like SA2 quality, which is good(actually, it's great) but I was just       expecting more. I thought this title would really floor me, seeing(and playing       it)       in motion...but now I'm kinda more "meh" than after just seeing the       screenshots. As       for the framerate, he moves so fast, I doubt anyone will notice it's not       running at       60fps(except for the fucking "professional" reviewers when they bash the fuck       out of       the game).              Thankfully it's just a demo...so they may clean it up quite a bit before the       release...but it's Sega...so I doubt it. :(              Bel       --       Whip Ass Gaming: http://www.whipassgaming.com/              "Microsoft Xbox 360:       Features: Custom-made PowerPC CPU designed by IBM with 3 separate       processor cores nicknamed Curly, Larry, and Moe for their efficiency       and performance."        - Console Wars 2006, SomethingAwful              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
