CDRs do *not* play as well as the originals, and they       do have the potential to harm the hardware, just because it hasn't happened to       you yet doesn't mean it's not true. I had a buddy who swore up and down that       the CDRs he played in his DC were fine....6 months later, dead DC. Just run a       quick search on the net for dead DCs and CDR usage sometime...              Now, like you, I have played some CDRs in both my DC(mostly homebrew stuff, or       unreleased games like Half-Life) and Sega CD, but I don't *only* use CDRs, so       though it is hurting the system when I do it, it's not going to kill it within       6 months like with that buddy of mine who did nothing but CDRs in his machine.              One thing you'll notice with CDRs is that the load times tend to be a bit       longer on some systems(and on others, like the Neo Geo CD, they're acutally       *quicker*), and in the DC it sounds like the GD-Rom is working especially hard       to load the data(you get that PSOv2-style grinding going on).              Bel       --       Whip Ass Gaming: http://www.whipassgaming.com/              "I love collecting big guns!
