   I'm not entirely sure, but I get the impression that the PS2 version was   
   written first, and the PC version was a port. That's based on the order of   
   the press announcements. However that shakes out, the 360 version is a   
   port of a port, since it was announced afterwards (and presumably written   
   later as well.) Based on my own crummy experience with the 360 version, I   
   was motivated to buy the PS2 edition instead.   
      
   I'll concede that if you dig Xbox Live and you have to have your friends   
   list up and running all the time, then the 360 version makes a lot of   
   sense. On the other hand, if you ever do have the urge to play the PC   
   version then it's worth considering that the PC and the PS2 share PSU   
   servers, and therefore it's possible for a PS2 player to retain his or her   
   characters when switching to the PC version. There's no big factor that   
   would push you one way or the other, so in my book it's all down to   
   personal preference only.
