   You've only played offline so far, right? I really dig the complexity of   
   the synthesis and the weapon upgrades, but only because it makes it feel   
   more like an MMO game (and less like a collectible card game.) I can see   
   how that amount of grinding wouldn't be welcome in the single-person mode.   
      
   What parts seem shallow to you? I feel like PSU has almost everything just   
   right, and the more I read the more I think we're just scratching the   
   surface. I just read about levelling up the partner machinery so that it   
   gets a humanoid mode that follows you into battle, a little like the old   
   Mags except that they carry weapons. Cool stuff.
