That's probably a response to the complaints about the story in PSO. All
of PSO was interactive and there were almost no cut-scenes or exposition.
It was possible to be completely ignorant of the story unless you put all
the pieces together yourself. In this way, PSU is a hundred-eighty degrees
   facing the other directio.

Which ones have you been talking to? I ran into an AMF officer in the GRM
shop who was also a Cast that was ashamed of the racism on Parum. Right
outside, the girl running the Koltova Juice bar might be a someone Ethan
recognizes from the Holy Light ceremony, but denies being there a little
too strongly. Back on the colony, I keep running into Ethan's old friends
and people who knew his father. Then there's Lou, who warns you not to
talk to the Casts who live in Parum. And that's just in the first two
   chapters.

Granted, it's not more than typical NPC dialogue, and it's probably
nothing that you have to have in hand in order to complete the game. But
it's plenty colorful. I'm dying to see this interface used to present one
of the original four Phantasy Star games.

-KKC, who keeps forgetting that he can't stand reading the PSU web forums.
