   this is correct. played both Star Flight and Star Control on the PC.   
   when i saw the genesis versions, they were quite decent.   
      
   FYI, IIRC you should be able to get either Star Flight or Star Control 2   
   (retitled, due to loss of original code and painstakingly reconstructed   
   by fans) as Abandonware. basically, it means they should be free, the   
   license ran out and wasn't renewed.   
   I'd check out Home of the Underdogs website to start your search. have fun!
