Check       out prices on VGA to HDMI converters (if there are any). Since VGA and       Component are both analog signals, and since Component is all my set       has, I chose the up scanning VGA to Component converter. I don't think       you're going to get better video quality over HDMI, but you might get       just as good at 480p for less money.              > On a Saturn and a Sega CD, is it worth it trying to find a SCART RGB cable       > and an RGB to component converter? On my Rear Projection set, it's not       that bad, but I might try RGB to Component at some point down the road       for my Genesis because of some color flickering issues I have       occasionally noticed. For the Saturn S-Video is about as good as it       gets and I wouldn't try for more. The only difference between S-Video       and Component is a very slight change in the way colors are displayed.       Since these games were not designed with Component in mind, you had       might as well stick with the S-Video connection.              Here is a good example of what the jump looks like. Notice how the       effect on the edges of characters changes very little between S-Video       and Component, but there is a noticeable leap from Composite to S-Video.              http://www.kancilkiller.net/2006/02/video-cables.asp                     --       Scott              http://www.gamepilgrimage.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
