I think my time was "SNES TIME" - when I first got a glimpse of Super Mario
World, I begged and begged my poor mother for a SNES, and it feels to me
like it was just hit title after hit title. To me the snes is still the
   greatest console of all time.

I got a very similar feeling with my first PC rig too, I remember it
   clearly.

   P2 350Mhz
   64MB RAM
   Dual 12MB Voodoo graphics cards
17" (Massive at the time) monitor, which eventually became a 19" monster.
Creative Labs 5.1 surround - although not right away.

After building this PC, I discovered Quake 2, then Turok, followed by Half
life then Alien versus Predator. Other games which i remember fondly from
those days, SIN, Shogo, Soldier of Fortune, Kingpin etc.

Those were great days - and are a very close rival to the snes days.
