   This makes a small amount of sense to me. They limited the beta demo to   
   Gold users even though they promised it to everyone, and I imagine part of   
   that was working out the kinks in the two membership types. Most other   
   developers have resisted releasing MMO games on Xbox Live for fear of this   
   kind of problem. If you look at Final Fantasy XI as an example, there's   
   the whole PlayOnline layer that you have to log into that's separate from   
   Xbox Live and doesn't care about the interface.
