   The Mega CD has its own bootstrap and CPU. However, it doesn't accept any   
   instructions without a Megadrive connected. With only one power supply,   
   you won't even see the Mega CD unit power on. You can safely substitute an   
   Atari Jaguar power supply if you have one lying around.
