   You sure it's hardware and not software? I just got done helping a friend   
   who 'lost' his two CD drivers on his Windows XP machine. Turns out Napster   
   has custom CD drivers that don't get along with Service Pack 2, and we had   
   to decide to uninstall one or the other. We chose to dump Napster. :)
