   Not sure how the pop up situation is, but with pop ups disabled in   
   Firefox I've yet to see one. As for ads on the side, not sure there   
   either(I use that "Ad Block Plus" extension to kill those). This is a   
   pretty reliable site though, so I wouldn't think it'd be too bad at all.   
   I used to use them even before I was using Ad Block and I don't remember   
   it being too bad at all.
