   Well, the complicated answer is that the exact same game is being   
   presented with a superior structure for characterization and therefore   
   cultivates more emotional attachment. The simple answer is that EXA has   
   pretty girls and pushes your buttons. :)   
      
   I forgot to mention that Shining Force EXA and Phantasy Star Universe   
   appear to have almost the same cast of voice actors. Toma and Cyrille   
   therefore sound exactly like Ethan Waber and Karen Erra. This may horrify   
   you, or not.
