   No, you just hit left or right on the pad under "Game Start". You can do   
   from 1 to 4 stars...and then, I think, with a code get it to go all the   
   way to 8 stars.   
      
   Plus, another thing I really like about SSF2 on Genesis(over the arcade)   
   is the "Expert" mode that allows you to fight *every single character*   
   in the game. That's pretty hip.

   I think they did a really good job with the audio, I mean the music is   
   excellent and the voices aren't that bad at all. Like you said, having   
   both performing so well really is pushing the Genesis' sound chip.
