I guess that's the price of having universal medical insurance.              In Canada you can get decent priced cables at NCIX.com but they are not       quite as cheap as monoprice in the States. I needed a 15ft DVI>HDMI       cable to hook to my LCD projector and the salesman at London Drugs       wanted to sell me a DVI>HDMI adapter that costs $50.00 and then he       wanted me to pay to have custom length of HDMI cable made because the       longest they had was 12ft for close to $200.00, I needed minimum of       15ft. Of course I knew where to get a 15ft cable for much cheaper that       didn't require any adapter, I just wanted to see what kind of scam he       would try to pull on me. I then informed him that I could buy a 15ft       DVI>HDMI cable from NCIX for $35.00 and he then claimed it wasn't good       enough quality. I told him he was FOS because digital either works or it       doesn't. He didn't even know the brand of cable I was buying from NCIX       so how the fuck would he know if it was good enough or not? I bought the       cable from NCIX for $35.00 and it works perfectly. I bought a dual link       DVI cable from NCIX for $8.99 too for my LCD monitor and it works       perfectly also.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
