   This is a turn for the best, trust me. Even though the P3 may have run   
   at 1ghz, you'll still get quite a bit of lag with most stuff. Hitting   
   the P4 level, you're doing alright.   
      
   As for onboard video memory, yeah, you'll need to grab a video card at   
   some point. Most MAME games will play with onboard video memory, but the   
   more high-powered titles will need that video card(and CPU power).   
      
   As for sound, the Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE is only $25 to $30   
   most places and it's a solid card.

   Well, there you go! If you're going to have multiple HDDs in your P4, be   
   sure to set both up to have swap files, you'll get a small performance   
   boost out of that.

   Oh man...Zip Drives...I still have a hard time believing we ever used   
   those. My G4 has a Zip Drive in it...

   Yeah, I think you'll really dig the power you'll be getting out of the   
   P4, it'll be a huge step up from what you previously had.
