The time is soon coming where I won't       > be able to buy a tv anymore at retail :)              I agree to a point. Newer TVs, the HDTV kind, are great for the PS2/Xbox       and higher, imo. Anything lower than that, though, looks like complete       ass for the most part. This is why I have the two TV set up: The Saturn,       SNES, Genesis/32X/Sega CD, Genesis/Mega CD/PBC, PSX, DC and N64 all stay       back on the 27" SDTV(via AV or S-Video). The Xbox and HD DVD player stay       on the HDTV(as would a 360, if I ever get one). The same kind of goes       for PC as well: The Laptop, which does MAME Plus, stays on the SDTV, my       main PC, which does high-end gaming, stays on the HDTV(you ought to see       stuff like Gears of War on that thing).              > How many consoles do you have hooked up???              See above.              > It fits in that little space back there behind the tv. Nuff said :)              Yeah, the space is about the only thing I can see that would make it       worth anything. Then again, though, as they are all tray-based systems,       you could just stack them....but then I suppose cooling issues would       eventually arise.              > That's true, I never thought of that. A widescreen would seem to work       > well for vertical games. You might have to resort to using stretchmame       > for some games though.              Perhaps, I've yet to run in to anything like that just yet...then again,       I haven't played a whole lot of vertical games though.              > Eh, they'll be there until kingdom come. Doesn't matter if they affect       > the TVs or not.              Well, just watch out of the signs...              > I've gotten used to it actually. Interesting, I guess it could be pretty       handy for analog...              > A pac-man bootleg. I didn't catch that last part :)              heheheh, very good. ;)              Bel       --       Whip Ass Gaming: http://www.whipassgaming.com/              "We'll meet again...in Hell"        - Cobra, The Space Adventure              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
