From: bel@whipassgaming.com              > Geez. Six new Sega titles in as many weeks and not a peep about it here.       > No closet Dinosaur Kings fans in the house then? :)              We've been talking about it quite a bit over on the WAG Forums...I even       tried to rent it, but couldn't seem to find a BB that had it in yet.              Honestly, and I hate to say this...it breaks my heart to do it, but I       feel like I waste a post every time I start a topic here in RGVS. I       mean, even on my forums, with the meager 4 to 6 active posters, I get       more replies posting something there than I do here. :(              I don't mind replying to threads here, or in ASG, but I think that's       about it...sadly, I am pretty sure RGVS/ASG will be damn near completely       dead by the end of the year.              > Over on UGVM, I've been pretty enthusiastic about picking up Golden Axe       > Beast Rider. The usual skepticism is in place, and the reviews are pretty       > uniform in declaring the game mediocre.              I was happy as fuck to hear that the "professionals" hated it. I mean,       hell, they *hated* Iron Man and I love it. They hated Dark Messiah...I       love it. You get the picture. Plus, with everyone bashing it, the       pricing on it will drop to sub $30 in less than a month(making it       affordable).              > Anybody here play it yet? For the       > record, I don't care much about multiplayer or having a choice of which       > character to play. If the overall impression is positive, I'm likely to       > pick up a launch copy just to feel good about supporting Sega.              This is where we part ways...though I give Secret Ladder "mad props" for       the great work on Iron Man and, no doubt, Beast Rider I simply can't(in       good conscience) support Sega in the least. They are pretty much dead to       me...              > Apropos of nothing, I've been getting into a lot of the Corben-esque       > fantasy games lately. I just wrapped up Conan on the Xbox 360, and I've       > been spending time on and off with Barbarian, that Powerstone clone that       > hit the PS2 and the original Xbox.              I managed to finally snag Conan myself...LOVE IT. Now, this "Barbarian",       I've not heard of it...it hit the Xbox? Speaking of hack and slash, was       over at this placed called "Entertainmart" and they had an Xbox box for       that Sega gladiator game. I could have sworn it was a PS2-only title.       Would be nice if it was real(it was an ex-rental box, so it could quite       possibly have been a mismark).              > Sega's Viking also made an impression       > on me recently, although I haven't it played it since the day I bought it.              That one looks amazing, and is another I'd love to try at some point. As       per usual though, Sega couldn't be bothered to put out a demo.              > Feels like Beast Rider fits right into the genre, but with better sex       > appeal. :)              She's definitely hot..and I am loving the her new character design to no       end.              > -KKC, reading Metacritic reviews of Beast Rider. "Adventures of Fiery Boob       > Lady" indeed. :)              Is this before or after they slapped it with a 5 or 6? ;)              Bel       --       Whip Ass Gaming: http://www.whipassgaming.com/              "I remember when I took that job, thinking I could fight the good fight       from the inside and you telling me about all the problems. That color       thing: Too black for the uniform, too blue for the brothers. About how       justice gets tangled up in the red tape or just bought off by the green.       You were right, fuck that job." - John Shaft, Shaft              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
