|    Slightly OT: I'm shocking!    |

From: bel@whipassgaming.com              Alright, I've got a bit of an issue...and it happens every year around       Winter, but this year seems to worse than the last few...              Every time I move, every time I get up and walk, I build up HUGE amounts       of static electricity. I'll pick up, say, a Saturn controller and I'll       *actually shock it*. I think I'm shocking the Saturn too, because the       video signal goes completely nuts and you can't see anything but blocks       and blurs of colors. Happens with the Xbox too...              Am I killing these systems? How is a plastic controller even shockable?       I thought it had to be metal or something.              Anyone know of anything that can dissipate static electricity? Maybe       some sort of wrist ring or something(I've seen these used by people who       work on PCs quite a bit)? I try my best to touch something metal to just       release the charges, but sometimes I don't even get it, I'm just sitting       on the couch and all of the sudden, even though I've been playing for a       while, I'll shock the controller(and thus, the system as well).              KKC, Ted, Scott, anyone: Any help here?              Bel       --       Whip Ass Gaming: http://www.whipassgaming.com/              "Be a kitty cat, not a kitty can't!"        - Me              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
