Like KKC says in his post, no matter the Genesis model, the composite
adapter is not the expensive at all. $4 here in the US, even cheaper if
you order from overseas, but either way you get the cable you need.
Honestly, I don't think even my Genesis would be able to send anything
out via the original port(the goes to the RF adapter) just due to the
metal oxidizing and breaking down. The composite output, however, should
be fine as it's seated well into the system and away from the various
   elements.

You make a good point about just playing said games on other systems,
though...and, honestly, there are some systems(like the TG-16) that I am
more than fine with only experiencing through an emulator or just from
another system. That said, there is something about playing the games on
   the original hardware...

It can be frustrating, I know...but trust us, you're very close to the
end of this. One composite cable and you'll have either fixed your issue
completely or know that the Genesis is, indeed, going to need some
   repairs or just replacing.
