I tried to do a late crop of spinach here in Seattle once which grew to
2-3 inch plants before the grow season ended. We must have had a mild
winter, because it was still alive in the spring. I transplanted it to a
sunnier bed, and it grew like gangbusters. It grew into gigantic plants,
maybe 15 inches or more tall with 6-8 inch leaves.
