     yesterday it was warm enough to get outside and   
   start some gardening tasks.  i scraped a few hundred   
   square feet after burying some garlic and onion seeds   
   down deep enough that they'll have a tough time   
   coming back up (i also put some cardboard over them).   
      
     many of the birds have returned.   
      
     deer already found some of the spring flowers.   
      
     today is also going to be warm (even warmer than   
   yesterday).  70F in early March...
