   I find taste varies with growing conditions too.   
   I like to grow several varieties and mixed them   
   together when I cook them.

   tomatoes or strained tomato juice   
   garlic   
   onions   
   red bell peppers   
   eggplant   
   California pepper powder   
   oregano parsley   
   salt
