From: T@invalid.invalid              Hi All,              Tonight the temperature is suppose to get down to 30F and       tomorrow it is suppose to get down to 22F.              Hoses and swam cooler are unhooked and drained.              So I harvested all I could and started pulling out plants.       I am about half way there.              Berries were a disaster: seven off of seven choke berry       bushes; 10 off our four goji berry bushes (thousands       last year); zero off four black berry bushes.              six zucchini plants: three fruits each. Despite my       planting green onions with them, I still got squash       bugs, but only about 20 of them. I killed about 16       of them.              Cucumbers: I am over run with them.              Sweet 100's cherry tomatoes: more than I can handle.       I am over run with them.              My bunching onions are going crazy.              Garlic is now in. Store bought organic garlic       from Columbus Farms.              My onions, after 15 days and watering every day,       are now sprouting and are about two inches tall.       Hope they make it through the freeze.              Now to start scheming and plotting about next year.       I always vow not to plant zucchini becasue of the       squash bugs, but their fruit is just so damned tasty.              -T              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
