Photographic groups are typically hobby groups and are of little
interest to professional photographers. In fact, the professionals avoid
them like the plague as they would spend all their time answering
questions from hobbyists. Far better to run a photographic training
business and make money from answering the questions.

But he did have them published in magazines. Far more lucrative! Only
photographic hobbyists strive to get their photos "exhibited", a sign
that they've "arrived". The professionals, on the other hand, want them
