   The "local authorities" would be more interested in your gun   
   manufacturing business. From what I hear, those same local authorities   
   are questioning Rec.scuba posters even now.

   Steve isn't posting here! Therefore he will not need to put up any money   
   for legal services in Thailand, a country he only visits these days.   
   Bob, on the other hand, will need to (a) explain his involvement with a   
   "known paedophile" and (b) his involvement with a "private" detention   
   centre in Chiang Mai and (c) operating (not owning) a business in   
   Thailand as a front for illegal immigration and slave trading!   
      
   Bob will need to post the escrow in UD$, not Thai baht once Thailand's   
   finest get onto his case in a big way.
