   Obviously you either have never visited Singapore or have fallen for   
   Stevie-boys fantasies.   
      
   1. Luxurious residence - the area that Steve himself described as his   
   residence was in an area that was described by a Singapore real estate   
   agent as "cheap and dirty buildings".   
      
   2. "all the big and exclusive events in town". A perusal of "The   
   Singapore Tattler", an up-market periodical aimed directly at the   
   Singapore upper-class and reporting on the all the nation's "exclusive   
   events", to use your term, has not, to date, mentioned the elusive   
   one.   
      
   3. "an allowance for new clothes". I have resided in Singapore for   
   various periods, was manager of the company's Singapore Office for   
   several years, and generally am familiar with a large number of   
   Singaporean's and foreigners working in Singapore, none of whom get an   
   allowance for new clothes simply because one simply wears the same   
   clothing one would wear in one's home country.   
      
   In short your post is simply an example of ignorance on your part, or   
   perhaps you have been taken in by an individual who is, if nothing   
   else, one of the greatest liars in Asia.
