All the other died.              Well, SCT has died out completely, nothing surer. Sure there are some       posters there but, if you care to look, they seem not interested in       anything Thai. In fact, they seem more anti Thai than anything else.       Rec.scuba seems a mere shadow of its former self and Rec.knives nothing       more than a troll infestation. The cooking group will survive because       the women there give the trolls no quarter. SCV survives quite well but       that is mostly because most discussion in that forum is in the       Vietnamese language and that fact alone keeps the trolls out. Maybe SCT       would have survived better had it been in Thai language only but that       would have excluded any and all interested in Thailand who weren't Thai.       The Thai people caught on to the trolls really quickly and moved off       into their own moderated forums, usually web based. A troll poster lasts       mere seconds in these.       >       > Taking Felicity's suggestion, I did find that he is quite active in       > moderated groups catering to the same interests, along with members of       > the usenet groups who followed him over. LOL!       >       It's quite sad to see Usenet degenerate like it has but these moronic       trolls seem to think only they have the right to free speech. Moderated       forums will be the way of the future, it seems. Free speech is a       wonderful concept but one of which the trolls have little understanding.              Krypsis              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
