I recently bought a Benchmade Activator, model 211, sheath
knife. It only has a 2" blade, not much use for slicing up
watermelons but handy for almost everything else.

I found I use it more frequently than my around-the-house
EDC because of it's faster deployment and strong handle.

But I've been a little shy about carry off my property. In
CA you are not supposed to conceal a sheath knife but
in order to "qualify" for this restriction the blade must not
be be able to stab people. Odd, but I've heard of a case
where a Warncliff (sp?) type blade was not considered in
the "deadly" catagory because it's blade was not designed
to be able to readily "stab." But I worry about my drop point.

   Any opinions or suggestions????

   Anybody? Anyone??

I'd say a wharncliffe was quite stabby, the CRKT dragon has a similar blade
and is marketed as a "tactical" knife. And we all know "tactical" is just a
more PC way of saying "stabby". I've got one and it's quite nice, but the
handle seems a bit cramped to be nimble enough as a fighter. In saying
that, though, I wouldn't like one stuck in my neck.
