|    Sharpness tester    |

From: sheldon@XXXXXXXXsopris.net              Awhile back I bought a sharpness tester. I can't find it and wanted to find       another. It was a black rod about the size of a pencil. You held it at about       a 45 degree angle and placed the edge of the knife on the rod, using the       weight of the knife only, and see if the edge would bite or slide off.               I think I got this thing from a company that made knife sharpening angle       guides, but that's a guess. Anyway, I know lots of ways to test for       sharpness, but I'd just like to replace this cheap gadget.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
