   Ceramic knives are very sharp and good for slicing, as in kitchen use. As   
   folding knives they are brittle and problems tend to occur at the hinge   
   point -- while the blade doesn't dull, it does chip away slowly. You can't   
   use them for chopping or prying and the tips are quite fragile. They also   
   have to be sharpened with diamond sharpeners. They just make lousy EDC   
   knives.
