   Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.   
      
   I had been checking Craigslist for months, hoping someone would put up a used   
   2X72 belt grinder but no luck. Cliff has been using a 1X30 for years, and he   
   seems to be doing ok with that. Harbor Freight put their 1X30 on sale for   
   $39.95 and I couldn't    
   pass it up.   
      
   Anyway, your homemade grinder and other gear is something like what I aspire   
   to put together myself someday. The biggest issue may be getting my wife to   
   give me more room in the garage.   
      
   Are you still dry grinding your blades? Seems counter to what Cliff preaches,   
   but maybe that's because your grinder is turning at a much slower rpm?
