   The middle east is a chaos of European colonial states set up   
   helter-skelter. The US was just dumb enough to try cleaning up their   
   historical mess after they walked away and said "who me?".

   Admiralty Winston Churchill was under pressure to modernize he Royal   
   Navy from coal to oil fueled, he said he would hold out until England   
   had a secure source of oil. Thus exploitation of the middle east.
