   This is interesting, reading the liner notes booklet that came with the Mott   
   The Hoople box set,  turns out that Ian Hunter met up with Bob Dylan early on,   
   in 1970:

   "Mott got positive response... from Bob Dylan himself. During Mott's first   
   U.S. tour, early 1970, Hunter was standing outside a club in New York when a   
   figure walkedup singing "At The Crossroads". "I thought he was taking the   
   piss," thought Hunter. When    
   the pair's eyed met again inside the club.  Hunter recognized Dylan. “He   
   said: 'Mott The Hoople!', then started jumping up and down, singing At The   
   Crossroads, and he's got all the lyrics..." -Kris Needs
