   The visiting nurse just left, said the 28 staple site, or what I call my   
   Frankenstein look, is completely healed on the outside, but will take a few   
   months to actually heal the internal stuff, and pay attention to the pain.    
   The surgery site that they    
   wanted to heal from the inside out still has a week or so to go before it's   
   completely closed, but it looks great.  So medically I'm doing just fine, but   
   mentally, I'm still struggling with the whole new phase of my life situation.    
   I had to give up the    
   car, I have to be dependent on others (the hardest part), and my physical   
   strength will take time to recover.  I'm so impatient with life right now.  So   
   I've started looking at Christmas crafts to do, given up on my two gardens and   
   will only plant    
   flowers this fall and have learned that I can only do 15 minutes of physical   
   work, like housekeeping, at a time.  I have also had to learn to accept taking   
   multiple naps during the day.  The nurse laughed and said that was to be   
   expected being neigh on    
   70, but I've never napped during the day before, so I find it odd.   
   I may pick up the pen and start writing again, something I gave up years ago,   
   but golly gee I seem to have all this time on my hands.  I'm sick of tv!!!!!   
   Thanks for the kind thoughts, here are some snickerdoodle cookies I baked this   
   morning.
