   OK, let me put it this way - was anybody doing anything in 1922   
   that you and I would recognize today as bluegrass? That's not   
   a rhetorical question, it's a genuine expression of my ignorance   
   on the topic. But if the answer is no, then I maintain my puzzlement   
   over a book of pre-1922 bluegrass gospel.
