The absolute best dulcimer playing I've ever heard was by Wade Hampton
Millar. I've got an old vinyl record of his titled "In The Days I Went
A-courtin'", but after seeing him once we never heard of him again.

Second choice would be David Schnaufer's recording "Dulcimer Player Deluxe"
which is most of 2 of his albums.

Several years ago we were driving home to the Chicago area from Hot Springs
AR on our way to one of the caves, and stumbled on the Dulcimer Shoppe in
Mountain View AR. Since we weren't on any schedule, we turned around and
spent about an hour there. The shop where they make them in back was most
impressive. later when we got home, we discovered that my wife's dulcimer
   came from that shop.

Sir, if I was building a weapon of mass destruction,
you wouldn't be able to find it.
